WHICH BLINDS? There is generally no real difference between the types of products sold by blind companies. The main differences are in the quality of the materials and components as well as how good the job is measured and installed.

Past masters or people in the know can pick their choice of product immediately. They know what each one does and how it will look. Other customers are familiar with maybe only 1 or 2 types of blind, if at all. The decision of the type of blind(s) you buy will probably be based on one of three things: - Aesthetic look ? Not too bothered with how the blind operates but looking more for a stylish blind, colour match or design that will blend in with the theme or style of your decor?

- Fabric Functionality ? Is the fabric fit for purpose with regards the room it will inhabit? Will it block out the glare of the sun? Need or want your fabric to contain a specific characteristic(s). i.e. heat reflective/retentive fabric, wipe clean. Our fabrics each contain a number of the characteristics below: Water resistant fabrics - suitable for bathrooms and kitchens or any environment with moisture.

Washable/cleanable fabrics - sponge clean any marks or even pop them in the washing machine (limited range)/dry cleaners.
Standard shade fabrics - block out the sun's glare but still let light into the room (most popular shading level)
Dim-out shade fabrics - block out more glare and let less light in than standard shade fabrics. Total light block out fabrics - No glare OR light comes through the fabric. Suitable for bedrooms or any room you want to keep dark.
Fade resistant fabrics - treated to ensure the fabrics retain their colour longer. Heat reflective fabrics - actively reflect the heat outside ensuring you keep cooler inside. Also helps to retain heat in the colder months.
UV protective fabrics ? provides protection from the harmful UV rays of the sun.
Fire retardant fabrics - helps prevent the spread of fire.
